Reaper, also known as The Phantom, is a character within the Overwatch universe, first appearing in the game Overwatch, released in 2016.
Once known as Gabriel Reyes, he was a founding member of Overwatch and initially its leader. However, due to conflicting ideologies with Jack Morrison (later Soldier: 76) and other internal issues, Reyes eventually betrayed the organization.
He now exists as a wraith-like mercenary, shrouded in mystery. His abilities revolve around teleportation, dual wielding shotguns, and a "wraith form" that makes him invulnerable. His ultimate ability is "Death Blossom," unleashing a flurry of shotgun blasts in a close radius.
